Dryer Vent Cleaning in Maryland
If clothes take too long to dry, the laundry room feels unusually hot, or the outside dryer vent does not open properly, the dryer vent may be restricted with lint or debris.
Signs you need this
Signs Your Dryer Vent May Need Cleaning
For most homes, an annual dryer-vent check/cleaning schedule is a practical safety standard. USFA advises cleaning dryer vent ductwork every year and servicing/cleaning periodically, especially when drying time increases.
Clothes take more than one cycle to dry
Dryer feels hotter than normal
Laundry room becomes hot or humid
Burning smell while dryer is running
Lint around the dryer or exterior vent
Outside vent flap does not open properly
Dryer shuts off before clothes are dry
Vent exits through the roof or has a long run

Professional Dryer Vent Cleaning
Every dryer load leaves some lint behind. Over time, lint can collect inside the vent line, especially around bends, long runs, roof exits, and exterior vent caps.
A restricted vent can make the dryer work harder, increase drying time, and reduce airflow to the outside. Our service removes lint and debris from accessible dryer exhaust vents and checks the exterior termination when accessible.
Look at the run first
Which wall it exits, how many bends it takes, whether it turns up into the roof. That tells us the length and the price, and you get both before we start rather than on the invoice afterwards.
Pull the machine out and disconnect
Sheet down, machine eased forward, transition duct off the wall. Anything that has already fallen behind the machine comes out at this point.
Brush the run from the inside
A rotating brush on a flexible rod runs the whole length, turning as it goes so it cuts lint off the wall of the duct rather than pushing it ahead into a plug. A vacuum sits at the opening and takes back what the brush releases.
Clear the termination from outside
Round to the louvre, with a ladder if the run exits high, cap off and the last two feet cleared by hand. Then we check the flaps swing freely. Most of the block lives in this stretch and it cannot be done from indoors.
Reconnect properly
The transition duct goes back on with metal worm-drive clamps rather than foil tape. If the old duct is crushed, sagging or split, we show you and document it before anything is reconnected.
Run it and show you
A cycle started and a meter held at the outside cap, so you can see what the airflow is now against what it was when we arrived. Then the machine goes back, the sheet comes up, and we show you what came out.
