Professional Chimney Sweeping & Cleaning
Even a fireplace used only a few times each year can collect soot, debris, or nesting material. Call Duct Cleaning provides mechanical sweeping and vacuum cleaning for accessible fireplace and chimney areas, with home protection and photo documentation when practical.
Seal the opening, set the vacuum
A panel and sheeting across the fireplace opening with a sealed vacuum running behind it, so the room stays at negative pressure the whole time. Hearth and floor covered before a rod comes out of the van.
Sweep the flue, top down
Rod and brush sized to the flue, worked from the top so gravity is on our side. Clay tile, metal liner and unlined masonry all take different brushes, which is why we look before we choose one.
Smoke chamber and shelf by hand
The shelf behind the damper is where the deposit and the debris collect, and it is the part most often skipped. It comes out by hand and by scraper, then gets brushed back to the brick.
Damper cleaned and checked
The damper and its seat are cleaned of soot and debris, and we show you it opening and closing. If it appears damaged, we document it and recommend a qualified chimney professional.
Photograph what we can reach
The accessible flue and smoke chamber are photographed so you can see what was cleaned. The photographs are documentation, not a certified structural inspection.
Vacuum cleanup, then the photos
Ash, soot and debris are vacuumed up and the work area is cleaned. If we notice a possible safety or repair concern, we document it and recommend a qualified chimney professional.
